Ahhhh.....

My first post in my new blog! I had a blog once. I think I wrote about two sentences and then forgot about it. Then the other night someone on a message board that I read was talking about Bento boxes. Now I had heard about these before and I had looked at pictures but never really gave it much thought until this week.

Now this week is actually pretty busy around here. My little girl is turning four and I've been "trying" to clean up the house for the company on Saturday. I say trying because well...I have an almost 4 year old that doesn't know how to put up her toys.

Also as I was cleaning I decided to start getting out stuff for our garage sale we are having in September. So now I have all this junk out everywhere and my house is no where near being party ready! Ahhh oh well I'm not gonna stress about it this year! (okay well I probably will but at this point I can say I won't!)

Okay back to my Bento...so as I was reading about Bentos again someone posted a site that had TONS of links to Bento bloggers and I was like I want to blog about Bentos too. My husband just kind of looks at me all crazy like but that is nothing unusual!

So that night in the midst of all my cleaning and junk I made my very first Bento box. Now granted its not a "real" Bento box and the foods aren't even anything someone would probably even put in one like rice...but I don't like rice so you probably won't be seeing any rice in it anyway but I haven't been to the grocery in forever so it was just odds and ends in the pantry. The poor fridge was looking pretty empty. So I guess my Bento boxes will be very "Americanized" with a Preschool style!

So anyway I will post pictures of my very first Bento box for my soon to be 4 year old as soon as I download the pics off my camera!

Well I couldn't stand it so I had to download the pictures of the Bento even though it is super late and I have a busy day of cleaning tomorrow. Okay now don't laugh.....

Lets see we have Peanut butter sandwich made with a bear cookie cutter and sprinkles for the face, some peanut butter pretzels, green marshmallows, some Ritz crackers, strawberries, swiss cheese flowers and some pepperonis.

I tried to tell my daughter that this was for daddy and she couldn't eat it thinking it would make her want it even more. Well I told her daddy forgot it for lunch so she could have it. She was really excited ....but....she doesn't like pepperoni, and apparently she doesn't like swiss cheese either. The marshmallows got kind of hard in the fridge and the pretzels kind of soggy. I guess this is the kind of thing you make and then eat.

Anyway I think she liked it and if I go to the store maybe I can get some food that she might like too!

The container is the size of a normal sized sandwich. It is Disney Princess themed and I got in the Target Dollar Spot...they just refreshed the bins with new stuff. We also got princess baggies and a few other things.
