Ahhh...finally I have a couple of minutes to update what we have been doing. Tuesday we went to the Indiana State Fair. We had the most perfect weather! Normally, when we go it is either SUPER hot or it rains. Not this time though...this time it was like 80 with a nice breeze. The only time we started to get hot was when we sat on these bleachers for what seemed like forever to watch the circus. If I would have had a drink it probably would have been fine but by the end I was hot and thirsty!Okay back to the fair. We all had a nice time. We ate a lot of food. I can NEVER make a decision as to what I want. I am always afraid to get something at one booth only to see something better at the next or the same thing cheaper! hahaa
Hubby had beef on a stick, ice cream cone, corn on the cob
P had part of daddy's ice cream cone, bag of cotton candy, corn dog and another ice cream cone
I ended up with some of P's corn dog, onion rings (which looked way better than they tasted ) and two glasses of milk from the dairy barn. Mmmmm the milk there is delish!!!
Seriously though...what the heck is deep fried Pepsi?? Has anyone had it? I didn't see anyone with it so I can't even imagine what this might be!
Another funny thing we saw to eat (well I thought it was funny) was Deep fried bananas foster cheesecake on a stick with caramel sauce. Umm hello...you will need a whole menu board for that one item the name is so long!!!
We also ate samples in the Taste of Indiana Farms or whatever it was called.
The good:
- bbq beef
- cottage cheese
- honey
- maple syrup
- cheese
- grape juice (or was it apple? can't remember)
The bad:
- Lamb ...wasnt horrible but didnt really like the texture
- I didn't have this but the look of horror on P and hubby's face was pretty good on the Soy Jerky! It was pretty funny for P because she thought it was chocolate (it was really dark and cut in a small square) she immediately hated it so hubby took a bite. Later he said he should have spit it out because it was horrible! I can't stand the smell of normal jerky so I wanted no part in it.
Okay enough about food...we did the Little Hands on the Farm which P really liked. At the end the kids get to "buy" something from the market. She picked the jello but there were no spoons so she never did eat it.

We watched the circus which was kind of cute - they had dogs, monkeys and an elephant.
We walked around and looked at animals and tractors, P rode a pony, fed some goats and overall just had a nice day as a family.

When we left the fair we stopped at the Greenwood Mall to do a little shopping before heading home. On the way there P was just pooped!

Fun times...so did you go to the fair? Did you have a good time? What was your favorite thing you had to eat?
