I want candy!

Well what a busy weekend we had! Friday night was of course Trick or Treating. P was dressed up as Glenda from the Wizard of Oz. I made her cute little treat bucket which by the end of the night was FULL! We started out at the mall which was LAME. Seriously they put ad after ad in the paper in the give out like one Tootsie Roll or Dum Dum sucker at each store. Boo! The first year we went TOT at the mall it was pretty good. Stores gave a variety of things from pencils, pens, tattoos to cotton candy. This time it was pretty sad. Not that we need candy but if that was all we had planned for the evening I would have been pretty bummed for P.

But, we had more plans. Since we live out in the country and don't have a neighborhood we go to one of our friends' neighborhoods. The live in a nice part of town and the streets are safe and the kids all have a good time. A lot of people participate too so that is nice. We had a good time and the weather was awesome!!!

Oh and when we were walking around "this" was also going trick or treating. Someone either owns or rented this Cinderella looking carriage being pulled by horse. They had about 8 or so people in it and they would jump out and get candy and then go back to their carriage! The picture isn't very good but gives you an idea. Fancy, eh?

Oh yeah, the rest of the weekend. Ummm Saturday we went to mom's house and P and I and the rest of the family helped set up her 12ft Christmas tree. We also watched Elf (I love that movie)!!! We were there pretty much all day.

Today we worked on the kitchen. We decided to rip out our pantry so we could maybe actually get a kitchen table in our kitchen hahaa isn't that an awesome idea? Now I just have to figure out where all the food that used to be in the pantry is going to go. Anyway this little project is going to take awhile. Hubby keeps telling me no worries we will be good to go by T'giving but I am pretty doubtful. I think we are going to paint the kitchen lime green...I must like green paint because that is also what we will be painting P's room and the whole basement is already a darker but bright green. hmmmm oh well it is just paint!
