My First Cricut Project

So for Christmas I finally got the Cricut that I had been wanting since they came out. At first I was too busy to get it out of the box and then I was kind of scared of it hahaa it has a lot of buttons and the more I read on different blogs and stuff the more complicated it sounded but I finally opened up the box and dived right in! Well I have to say that is actually pretty easy to use. Yes there is a learning curve but so far it is pretty neat!

Anyway so this is what I made with for my first project. The pictures are pretty horrible I think these are the last pictures I will be taking with my trusty Kodak :( it has been dying for awhile now but these were just awful. The flash would come on but the pictures were sooo dark and a lot of them had streaks and it was just aggravating. Luckily I have a nice backup camera but it is a little big for my normal everyday use so I will now be looking for a nice small point and shoot so if you have any suggestions let me know!

Anyway....here is a paint bucket I decorated for mom's birthday. I would have been a lot better off if I would have had a plan hahaa I was just trying out different shapes and sizes and stuff on the Cricut and had no vision so it is quite the hodgepodge! Anyway I tucked her presents inside the can :)

This one is just a wrapped present with a cute cupcake and words printed out and glued on. Cuter in person as the colors were much brighter and happier!!!
