1st Day of Preschool

Ahhh well we survived the first day of Preschool. I got up early and took a shower and fixed P this lovely breakfast. See...isn't it nice and nutritious?

Then we drove into town and walked into school. All was good. We went over some rules on the drive there. You know, be nice to people, share, take your turn, ask the teacher if you have to go potty, stay with your group among several other things I probably overwhelmed her with. Then I took her inside she gave me a quick hug and went inside without ever looking back. I walked out of the building all by myself holding back just a small tear of my baby that is growing up.

Then I got in the car and went into town to do some retail therapy! hahaa Hit Target, Dollar Tree, TJMaxx, and Goodwill. I had planned on picking up some lunch too but I was afraid the line was too long so I went on over to the school and sat in the carpool lane. Note to self- put some magazines in the car hahaa I tried to see if the ipod would pick up a wifi signal but it wouldn't so I just sat there listening to the radio.

So out comes my sweet little girl...she looks like she is smiling and yells MOMMY MOMMY!!! and then I see she is crying...huh? what? Her teacher said it was because she didn't want to leave the glue sticks that we had brought for the class and when she had to put them back she started crying. Oh she (P) was just carrying on but I buckled her in her seat and got out of there trying to see what the problem was hahaa Glue sticks Glue sticks...so I said lets go to Target and get some more for home so we did. Then we got an Icee and a Happy Meal and finally she was seeming a bit better.

So little by little I tried to picture the day. I really don't know if she sat when she was supposed to, or took her turn or anything like that but I "think" she played in the kitchen area, the sand table, had a snack, went down the slide, had a potty break, read a book about a raccoon and hopefully they did something with blue paint because one of her hands is blue!

She was really tired too but was refusing a nap but she is crashed right now as I type this. I think we might need to go to bed even a little earlier than we have been trying.


She still wants to try it on Friday though so that is good :)
