Rise and Shine...

Well thought I might as well go ahead and finish up this trip report since I've managed to not get anything listed on Ebay in like forever. Only good thing about not having anything listed was that I got my monthly ebay fee bill and it was $0 so that means I've taken a month off. Ugh got to get with it or I will miss out on the best selling months of the year!

Okay okay back to our last full day at Disney. The only plans we had for the day were 7:30 am reservations at Boatwrights which was at our resort. So we got up and out of the room pretty early and got seated right away. I had heard that the Sweet Potato Pancakes here were the bomb so I thought hubby would like those but he opted not to get them. I'm not a sweet potato person so I didn't want to get them to find out that I didn't like them. Anyway so we order our breakfast which comes with two drinks on the dining plan so we got smoothies and cokes. The smoothies looked delish...hubby's was really tasty, mine was fine but kind of blah. P got Mickey Pancakes which she really liked. I got some sort of breakfast assortment and I can't remember what hubby got...pancakes maybe? Anyway the food was really good here but man that's a lot of food!

So since we had hit all the parks we decided to go back to the Magic Kingdom since there were still some rides we hadn't done yet and it seemed to be the place that P liked most. So off we go to the most magical place on earth :) Oh I must also mention that Princess P decided that she wanted to be Snow White again! She must have liked all of the attention the night before.

Since we had gotten up so early we made it to the park right at rope drop. So we go in and I say to hubby if we are going to get P's hair cut we have to do it right now or I've heard the line gets to long. So we talked about it for a second and then decided to do it. So we got in line at the barber shop and we were about 4th in line (which when we left I was very thankful for because the line was LONG) also I think when we were done we had been there over an hour so I was glad to have gotten it out of the way plus she got to enjoy her new "do" all day.

So I had heard about this barber shop and that they give kids Mickey ears if it is there first haircut. There is some debate as to if this was P's first haircut or not...okay so I have trimmed her bangs...so yes technically her hair had been cut BUT....BUT...those curls on the back of her had NEVER EVER been touched...they were there when she was born and this was the first time she has HAD her hair cut by someone somewhere. So when it was our turn the lady asked us how much I wanted trimmed off and I casually mentioned I was a bit nervous because this was the first time we had ever cut the back so there I told her the truth and we still got the ears! heheee So I said well lets do about three inches or so and trim up the bangs. So she did and she did a nice job and P was good for the most part! After she got her haircut then she got her "do" which she LOVED and the best part of all was that for $14 or was it $15 anyway it was cheap she got a haircut, mouse ears, a first haircut certificate, a lock of her hair and got it styled up all pretty :) Seriously if you were thinking about doing the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique I would think about doing the barber shop instead. It is way cheaper and I thought they style was cuter. Of course you probably won't get mouse ears unless its your first haircut but still a trim and "do" for under $20 at Disney isn't bad. Oh and they do boys too..the boy in front of us looked sooo cute I wish I would have taken a picture. Anyway if you are going to do this go there first thing so you don't have to wait to long. When you walk in the gates at Magic Kingdom it is to the left in the corner.

So after this we head off to ride the Tea Cup ride because I mean if you don't do Dumbo and the Tea Cups can you say you've been to Disney? So we get in line to ride and who do we see in one of the tea cups??? Alice and the Mad Hatter!!!

I also want to add that in the video above daddy is spinning that teacup like a crazy person. I was trying to hang on the camera and my breakfast hahaa boy those things can spin!!!!
So we go on the ride and we get off we see them again signing autographs. I had decided we needed about 5 more autographs before we left to make our pillowcase look good so we got in line. P was excited to meet them until the Mad Hatter tried to talk to her and she freaked out. He was kinda weird looking so I got the autographs and we took off! hahaa
Went and did some more rides and visited Mickey and Minnie's House. They weren't home today. Guess they were on vacation!
We went on P's most favorite ride of all....Splash Mountain!!!! She LOVED this and is still talking about it at home.
We went in the gift shop. We REALLY wanted to bring home a few goodies for some friends and family back home but my frugal self just couldn't get over the cost of some things. Like these Stitch gloves. We wanted to buy them for Uncle Andy but they were like 26 bucks or something so instead Uncle A gets a picture of his niece wearing the gloves we didn't buy :)
Then we stopped to have a snack ... coke floats and funnel cake...mmmm
A ride on a carousel and then we decided to finish off our trip at Epcot. So we took the monorail over to Epcot which is pretty cool. I would like to stay at one of the monorail resorts sometime. Actual I am pretty sure I did one time when we went when I was growing up but I would like to do it again now that I'm older :)
So we get over to Epcot and basically just do a few rides that we didn't do before and do a couple of the ones we really liked over again.
Hmmm sometime during this day we ate dinner too...nothing fancy just burgers again (I think!) at the Pinocchio place. Anyway...
so after we have revisited Epcot and walked around the world again we are heading out the doors and we see they have the Character Spot open with several characters in there signing autographs. The line didn't look too bad so we stayed. Once again P was not excited about meeting them so all the pictures ended up being family shots...that's fine I guess but I really just wanted P in them. So we met Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Stitch. I'm not sure what Stitch is doing in that picture. He was making weird noises and motions and I had to clue what he was "talking" about so I just laughed and nodded!
So we leave Epcot saying our last goodbyes and we are tired and wore out and exhausted and it is late but .... but.... darn it Downtown Disney you are going to have to wait for our next trip. We didn't end up going back so most of our shopping did not get done. I was kind of sad about it because like I mentioned before I wanted to get a few things for a few people, a shirt or something for P and an ornament for the tree. If you've never been to Downtown Disney it is basically just shops and restaurants and clubs so I mean we didn't really miss out on much plus I've been there before but I like it. They have neat shops and stuff but on the good note we saved a TON of money by not getting anything hahaa Over the course of the week we did get a few things. P got the My Little Pony Set, a stuffed Tinkerbell, a couple of pins from trading and maybe something else. I did sneak into the gift shop at the resort and found an ornament and although it wasn't the cutest it did have the date on it so I got that. Hubby well he isn't much on shopping anyway so I don't think he cared so all in all it worked out but I still would have liked to walk around there some more.
Oh yeah I forgot when we got back to the resort we were kind of hungry and still had snack credits left so we went and got some ice cream at the resort. Hello ice cream sundae...I think the guy working got a kick out of making them it it was HUGE and had everything on it. It was good but I couldn't eat to much of it. After P got done eating she curled up in the chair and fell asleep. Yes my wild child who rarely falls asleep anywhere was sleeping on this small chair. Disney will do that to ya! Boy it was fun...all of us can hardly wait to go back. There is just soooo much to see and do. Something for everyone :)
I've got a few more pics for another post so I will wrote more later. I'm sure I've missed things here and there but I think this is a good summary of our trip :)
