Sealed with a Kiss - Valentine Treat

Here is what we made for P's Valentines to take to school. I was so excited when I saw the idea on the blog Bunny Cakes. I just loved those little seals so I looked around online and found out they were available on Oriental Trading's website. So then I searched around for a coupon code and found a $10 off code so I got two dozen seals and a small garden flag for $7.
Anyway so we put the seals inside a clear cello bag and put in a few Hershey kisses and attached tags. We cut out the tags on the Cricut. The paper was really glittery and the first sheet I did I didn't have the cutting blade down enough so it didn't cut through but the next sheet did great!

The kids in the class were supposed to sign all of the Valentines to practice writing their names. We had to do about 20 of them so I told P we would do 7 each day until we had to take them on Friday. Well, Tuesday night after I had P in bed I was looking over the school calendar to see if I missed anything and it says they will be exchanging on Wednesday! WHAT??? HUH???? WHOA.... so I go get P out of bed and have her sign the rest of the cards which is like pulling teeth and a super SLOW process but we get it done. (okay yeah I forged a few but she did do most of them!) and then back to bed she goes and I finish up with a little curling ribbon and a tag on the front that says, "May your Valentine's Day be Sealed with a Kiss!" I was going to make that part a little cuter but suddenly I was out of time!

So yesterday P takes her Valentines to school. I thought they had turned out really cute. While P is at school I normally run around enjoying shopping by myself. So my first stop was Kohls. While I was in line paying my phone rings and the caller ID says Preschool. Ummmm....crap...is she in trouble? sick? (honestly my first thought was trouble because we have had a few problems lately with her not listening to the teachers, her telling the teacher to be quiet and lots of crying) but to my happiness it was the Preschool Director asking where I got these cute Valentines!!! She went on and on about how cute they were. Now really I am thinking that could have waited until the carpool line hahaa just to relieve my stress but I am happy they thought they were so cute!

Oh and maybe I didn't need to get P out of bed because you could tell several kids did not sign their own cards!!!! Oh well...I did what we were supposed to do!
