Get your cake on :)

Ahhh it has been awhile since I've made a cake. If you remember last fall I took 3 of the 4 Wilton cake decorating classes. I took a break from it because it was a lot of work and money right around the holidays. I had planned to take the last class in January or February but then our teacher quit! I still want to take that last class because it was the fondant class so I guess I should check to see if they've replaced her or not.

Anyway for mothers day we went to my parents for lunch and they asked me to bring the cake. I was kind of excited to get my stuff out again and play with it but quickly remembered it is a lot of work :) and time...did I mention time because it takes me like 4 hours to get a cake decorated hahaa

So here is what I took:

It did look better in person and was quite tasty! Wish I would have gotten a picture of it cut to show the yummy strawberry icing between the layers. Yummy!
